Introduction to Welding – Process MIG
What is included:
All tuition, certification, equipment and materials are provided.
What is not included:
You must bring safety boots and clean, fire retardant overalls.
Who is this course for:
- For those who have no experience of welding
- For those who want to have some experience of the job before starting in industry
- Learners looking to achieve a welding approval/coding
- Learners looking to progress to higher levels and other processes
The course will cover:
- The basics – Health & Safety, machine set up, safe settings use of the welding cycle and practice time on scrap
- Welding joints – what makes a good weld, common problems and correction procedures
- Three joints
- Use of control
- Inspection of welds
Assessment:
Final assessments are carried out through practical tasks in the form of Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) and internally assessed knowledge.
